NEWARK, NJ, September 6, 2003 - The Newark Bears Professional Baseball Club
will host the first annual College Night at Bears and Eagles Riverfront
Stadium on Friday, September 12TH for the double header against the
Pennsylvania Road Warriors beginning at 6:05 PM. The first 2,000 fans in
attendance will receive baseball caps presented by Haberman Building
Corporation.
Colleges currently attending include Rutgers Newark, Essex County College,
Caldwell College and Berkeley College. Each college with a group of 30 or
more is invited to bring out their mascot and have a concourse display to
hand out information. Sports Management majors, in particular, are
encouraged to come out that night and get a behind the scenes look at what
it is like to work for a professional baseball club. Groups of 30 or more
will also receive discounted ticket prices of $8.00 for a Box Seat and $6.00
for a Reserve Seat ticket.
"College night is a great way for students to kick off the academic year and
give faculty the chance to promote the opportunities available to students
at a wide variety of institutions," said Chris Bryan, Vice President and
General Manager of the Newark Bears Baseball Club.

The 2003 Newark Bears Season continues at home tonight, Saturday, September
6TH at 6:05 PM against the Long Island Ducks with the second game of their
three-game series. This evening's game, sponsored by Willie Will
Productions, features Noche Latina including concerts before and after the
game along with a fireworks extravaganza. Great seats are still available.
