NEWARK, NJ, July 28, 2003 - The 2002 Atlantic League Champion Newark Bears will host the first annual Ladies Night at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Wednesday, August 6th for the 7:05 PM game against the Nashua Pride.

Ladies Night is an opportunity for ladies to learn the fundamentals of Baseball taught by a Newark Bears player during a Baseball 101 Clinic to be held before the game. All ladies in attendance will get a discounted ticket price of $8.00 and a gift bag with their game ticket. Groups of 30 or more will receive discounted ticket prices of $8.00 for a Box Seat and $6.00 for a Reserve Seat ticket.

The 2003 Newark Bears Season will continue at home on Friday, August 1st at 7:05 PM against the Bridgeport Bluefish. On Sunday, August 3rd the Bears are also holding their weekly Family Fun Day activities with a pre-game autograph session down on the field, and kids running the bases after the game. The autograph session will include all of the Bears players and coaches, including Manager Bill Madlock.
